I've always had a strong interest in music, both classical and popular, from a very early age. One of the first songs I remember hearing on the radio was David Bowie's Space Oddity when I was about 4 or 5 years old and it made me shiver. My mother taught me how to read music at around the same time and music was always being played in the home, especially a lot of Motown, the Beatles, 10cc and David Bowie so they're still embedded in my mind and remain very special to me. In the Links section there is a list of some of my favourite band's and artists websites to give you an idea of what I like to listen to.
In 1990 I started writing songs and a year later began to record some of them at a studio in Brixton, London. A few years later the studio closed and I stopped writing and recording and went back to working in art, design and photograph, which are my other main interests. Then in March 2004 I decided to set up a home studio so I could write and record some new songs I'd had in mind for a while. Although since March 2004 I have written a lot of songs, I'm concentrating on mixing the best of the bunch and always working on new ones!
The songs featured on this website are all written and performed by myself and the mixing is done by Dave. I have no idea where the songs come from, I get so involved and then the next minute they've arrived! I hope you enjoy what I've done, there will be lots more to come and any constructive feedback is very much appreciated.
